While just a few years ago fingerprint readers integrated into the display were talked about as a science fiction technology from the future, today our view of this technology is completely different. Mainly Chinese smartphone manufacturers have already come up with their versions and it seems that they are a solid success among customers thanks to them. It is not surprising that even the biggest technology companies want to go down this path and offer this innovative technology in their smartphones. It will be the same with Samsung.

The South Korean giant is widely expected to embed fingerprint readers into the display of the upcoming flagship Galaxy S10, which will not arrive until the beginning of next year, however. According to new information, the first Samsung smartphone with this technology should be a model from the new series Galaxy P – specifically Gapaxy P30 and P30+.

This is what it might look like Galaxy S10:

Both innovations should appear soon on the market in China, where they will try to fight against the competition there, which already offers fingerprint readers in displays. In addition, the models should impress with a relatively low price in combination with decent hardware, which will make them an attractive product for Chinese customers. But when they will be released is currently unclear.

In addition to models from the P series, there could be readers in the display even before Galaxy S10 will also see the upcoming foldable smartphone, which Samsung would like to show the world by the end of this year. However, whether this will actually happen is unclear at the moment.
