Samsung has started releasing an update with the April security patch to other devices. Its latest recipient is a four-year-old flagship series Galaxy S8.

The new update carries firmware version G950NKSU5DUD1 (Galaxy S8) and G955NKSU5DUD1 (Galaxy S8+) and is currently distributed in South Korea. It should spread to other corners of the world in the coming days. The latest security patch includes Google's fixes for 30 serious or critical vulnerabilities and Samsung's 21 fixes for 21 vulnerabilities.

Advice Galaxy The S8 went on sale in early 2017 with Androidem 7.0 “on board” and over the years the phones have received two major system updates – Android 8.0 to Android 9.0 (with One UI extension). They currently receive security patches every three months, but due to their age, Samsung could put the brakes on a semi-annual update schedule. Samsung has already released the April security patch for a whole range of devices, including series phones Galaxy S21, S20, S10 and Note 10, foldable smartphone Galaxy From Fold 2 or smartphones Galaxy S20 FE (5G), Galaxy A51, A52 and A71.
