American Patriot EagleThe American government is definitely not one you want to turn against yourself. But Samsung's American division somehow managed to do it, and the US government accused it of being deceived by Samsung. According to the US government's statement, the US branch of the company was supposed to deceive the US government when it informed it that the devices that Samsung sold to the US government were manufactured in a country with which the US had concluded a fair-trade agreement in the past.

The problem, however, is that the devices that Samsung sold to the US government were made in China, a country with which the US never made this agreement. At the same time, Samsung violated the agreement and instead of providing the government with devices made in South Korea or Mexico, it provided other devices. You might say that the American government uses, for example, iPhone and it's also made in China, so what's the problem?!

Samsung already committed in the agreement itself to sell devices to the government that comply with the fair trade agreement - but it did not follow through and in fact told the distributors who provided the devices to the government sector that the devices were manufactured under the fair trade agreement. Samsung will therefore have to pay 2,3 million US dollars in compensation in these days, part of which will also be received by former Samsung employee Robbert Simmons. It was he who published internal information regarding the fraud.
