Samsung logoIf we look at Samsung, then we can say that it is a really big company. After all, Samsung is not just a phone company, but a conglomerate that makes televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, cars, ships and a huge number of other things. This is of course also reflected in the number of employees that the South Korean conglomerate employs! Its consumer electronics division, Samsung Electronics alone, employs 275 people, more than three times the number of employees employed by its largest competitor, Apple.

In 2013, it employed 80 employees and thus ranked fourth in the table compiled by the ArsTechnica portal. It is overtaken by Microsoft, which employed 000 people last year, and Sony, which employed 99 people. Samsung thus takes the first place in the table by a large margin, as it currently employs more people than Microsoft, Apple and Google together. Google ranked last with 48 employees.

Samsung Electronics then employed 2013 software engineers in 40, who this year developed software for nearly 500 smartphones and 50 tablets that the company introduced in the past 27 months. Just for comparison, Google employs 9 software engineers. The number of software engineers employed by Samsung increased by 18% compared to 600.
