It's been four years since Samsung introduced its first device with a flexible display, that is Galaxy Fold. Not even nearly half a decade later, however, his biggest rival Apple did not enter this technologically advanced market segment. However, the Cupertino giant may become a buyer of Samsung's foldable display.

A new report out of South Korea claims that Samsung will eventually make Apple its folding screen client. However, there is a possibility that it will not be the first Apple device with this display technology iPhone.

According to the website Business Korea Apple is currently in talks with several flexible display suppliers in anticipation of introducing its first foldable MacBook. He reportedly plans to unveil it to the world in 2025 and launch it on the market the following year.

Samsung Display is supposed to be among these suppliers. The latter is the most influential in the world not only in the field of folding screens, and from cooperation with Applem would benefit the most. A MacBook with a foldable display made by Samsung's display division would almost certainly increase the popularity of foldable devices and in turn boost the division's influence, revenue and gain even more credibility in the industry.

Samsung Display is reportedly planning to "pour" 4,1 trillion won (about CZK 68 billion) into large flexible OLED panels with the goal of mass-producing them in 2025 and 2026.

Apple however, he is known for taking his time with revolutionary technologies (and foldable displays undoubtedly are), spending years in the prototyping and design stages. The Cupertino giant hasn't even introduced a folding one yet iPhone, so unofficial informace, that it is developing a foldable laptop, may seem overly ambitious.
