Samsung today introduced a new generation of Chromebook 2 notebooks. In addition to higher performance and battery life, the computers also offer a leather design that we could see in yesterday's leak. Samsung was thus inspired by the design Galaxy Note 3 and other phones, and it is possible that in the future Samsung will use leatherette for other computers as well.
The new Chromebooks will go on sale in April 2014 and will be available in two versions. The 11,6-inch version will offer an LED display with a resolution of 1366 x 768, an Exynos 5 Octa processor with a frequency of 1.9 GHz, 16 GB of storage and an 8-hour battery life. It will be available in Jet Black and Classic White colors and will start selling for $319,99. The computer weighs 1,1 kg and is 1,7 cm thick.
The larger, 13.3-inch version will offer a Full HD LED display, a processor with a frequency of 2.1 GHz, 16 GB of storage and a battery life of 8,5 hours per charge. This version will only be available in the Luminous Titan Gray color scheme at a price of $399,99. The weight is 1,4 kg and its thickness is again 1,7 cm. Both laptops have the same storage, 4GB DDR3L RAM and 720p webcam. Both computers have an HDMI port, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, microSD and a 3,5mm audio jack.
