Microsoft has announced that it will appear at the GDC conference this month to introduce the new DirectX 12. The latest version of the DirectX interface will most likely only support the latest versions of the system Windows, which in addition to 8.1 could also include another version of the operating system. It is speculated that Microsoft will release DirectX 12 together with the new one Windows 9, but it should be emphasized that neither Microsoft nor anyone else has yet confirmed the name of the new system.

In addition, Microsoft has already revealed where the new DirectX will be supported everywhere. On promotional page, where only information about the event is found, the partner logos of AMD, Intel, Nvidia and Qualcomm appear. This means that DirectX 12 will fully support AMD Mantle technology and will also be fully optimized for Qualcomm Snapdragon chips found in ARM tablets and smartphones with Windows. According to available information, the Mantle technology will be presented on March 20 / March at GDC in San Francisco at 19:00 our time.
