Windows 9 logoWindows 9 is a new operating system from Microsoft, which seems to offer several novelties that will convince owners Windows 7 to upgrade to a higher system version. As we already know, many users criticized them Windows 8 due to a drastically changed environment, which was also reflected in the system's market share. On the other hand, those who have switched to this system praise it, that is, if they do not run into problems with updates, which I also ran into when switching to Windows 8.1 Update 1 from the system Windows 8.

Windows However, 9 should represent the best of both sides, and it seems that Microsoft will allow users to use two different environments at once. In the first case, users will be able to use the Start screen known from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. In the second case, we will encounter the return of the traditional Start Menu known from Windows 95, which will now be carried in a similar spirit - it will be square, which will harmonize with the current Metro UI design. In addition to the standard menu of applications, the Start Menu will be enriched with tiles that will be located to the right of the menu.

However, other functions are also coming to the system. A button symbolizing two rectangles has now been added to the bottom bar, right next to the Start button, which, when pressed, starts the option to manage virtual screens. The system now allows you to create several different desktops on which users can run different applications that do not overlap with applications from other desktops. In addition, these can be managed directly in the preview mode of virtual desktops, and there the user can turn off applications that no longer need to be turned on for each desktop, such as a calculator or e-mail client. Switching between screens should be done using the Alt+Tab keyboard shortcut.

Finally, we are shown a novelty in the form of a new Notification Center. This function may be particularly familiar to users iOS, Androidua OS X. Users Windows until now, they only had a smaller notification center available, which informed the user about events only from time to time and which did not offer an overview of news from, for example, e-mail or Xbox SmartGlass. However, the new notification center will handle this and users will now be able to manage the notifications that appear on the top right of the screen.
