Samsung today accused the well-known manufacturer of graphics chips, nVidia, of misleading customers, because its Tegra K1 processor is not at all as powerful as it was reported. Nvidia promoted the Tegra K1 chip as a desktop processor, which is so powerful that it will only appear in tablets and not in smartphones. However, Samsung said that the benchmark that compared the Tegra K1 to the Exynos 5433 is actually only slightly more powerful than the Exynos.
Samsung sa pritom odvoláva na údajne sfalšovaný benchmark tabletu nVidia SHIELD a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, ktorý ukazoval väčší rozdiel medzi nimi, než aký tam v skutočnosti je. Benchmarky od užívateľov ale ukázali pravdu a to tú, že výkonovo sú si zariadenia veľmi blízke. Samsung týmto sporom zrejme reaguje na lawsuit from last month, kedy nVidia obvinila Samsung za porušenie 6 patentov, ktoré mohli zapríčiniť, že Samsung bude nútený ukončiť predaj Galaxy Note 4 v USA. To sa ale zatiaľ nestalo.
