Samsung FlowAt yesterday's Samsung Developer Conference in San Francisco, Samsung presented several new products, including the new Samsung Flow, which allows users of Samsung devices to synchronize content in progress across each other. Unlike Handoff technology from Apple, Samsung Flow technology works on multiple types of devices and thus works on smart watches and even Smart TVs, thanks to which, for example, a user can continue watching a YouTube video on the TV after initially having it running on their phone.

Samsung Flow technology itself consists of three main functions. The first function bears the name Transfer and lets you transfer files between Samsung devices with just a few taps – whether it's a picture, a web page or a video call. Function Defer allows users to pause an activity on one device and then allow it to be developed on another device. This also works for movies and other multimedia content, so once a user has watched a movie on their phone, they can continue watching it on their Samsung Smart TV.

Finally, there is the function Notify and as the name suggests, it is about sending notifications and alerts between devices. For example, your watch will send you a warning that your phone's battery is low or your Samsung TV will tell you that someone is calling you. Everything is controlled using a single dialog window that individual applications can pop up on the screen. Here, among other things, you will see which Samsung devices near you are compatible with Flow technology and its individual functions. Developers will be able to easily integrate Samsung Flow into their apps, but Samsung has not yet said which devices will support Flow, nor has it revealed how and when it will work on individual devices.
