galaxy-noteIIIt has long been rumored that Samsung guarantees updates for the Galaxy Note 2 up to version Android 5.0. The company plans to keep its promise and has now confirmed that users Galaxy The Note IIs will indeed get an update Android 5.0, despite being on the market for more than 18 months. The fact that Samsung does not intend to stick to the aforementioned 18-month deadline is very gratifying news, as its owners are not forced to switch to a newer Note if it is only a software version.

However, the update will not come so soon, as Samsung is currently prioritizing newer devices such as the Note 4, S5 or Note 3. The update for the Note 2 will therefore come as one of the last, perhaps sometime around the time of the presentation Galaxy S6. Finnish Samsung also confirmed that it will receive the update to Lollipop Galaxy S5 mini and Galaxy S4 and of course also the currently advertised novelty Galaxy Alpha.
