Prague, January 5, 2015 - SOCIETY Samsung Electronics announced at the Consumer Electronics Show CES 2015 in Las Vegas that all Smart TVs produced in 2015 will be based on the Tizen operating system. The Tizen operating system, a standardized open-source platform, is flexible and enables access to richer content and more devices. It allows developers to easily create relevant content and engage users in a world of unlimited entertainment possibilities.

Simple and easy intuitive access
The Smart Hub has undergone many improvements and is displayed on a single screen that allows users to navigate easily and access quickly. The first screen displays the most used icons and the latest content selected according to the user. Thanks to the four-way control, the operation is very precise and fast.
Another important improvement of the system is the easy synchronization of the TV with other devices. Wi-Fi Direct makes it easy to share content from your mobile device to your TV with just one click. Samsung TV can automatically search for and connect to nearby Samsung devices thanks to S Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This simple convergence has an interesting potential – users can enjoy the experience across different compatible devices. Users can also watch TV on their mobile devices anywhere in their home network, even when their TV is turned off.

Integrated entertainment and easy access for users
Content consumption in 2015 involves many more devices and a large number of different sources. Samsung recognizes this shift in users, with its new platform designed to provide integrated entertainment options that are both efficient and powerful. Key partnerships include:
- Samsung Sports Live allows users to watch games live and find out at the same time informace about teams or individual players and their statistics on one screen. Samsung has also partnered with global gaming companies to offer a wide and diverse range of games.
- PlayStation Now is a new streaming game service available in North America that offers games designed for the PlayStation. Users can play them directly on SMART TV Samsung without the need to purchase the game console itself. With PlayStation Now, gamers can play hundreds of PlayStation®3 compatible games by simply pairing their Samsung SMART TV with DUALSHOCK 4 controllers.
- Thanks to a partnership with Ubisoft, the popular dance game is available on all Samsung Smart TVs Just Dance Now. Users will be able to play and dance in front of their televisions using a remote control and Samsung mobile devices. Several players can play at the same time.
- Bingo HOME: Race to Earth is the game title of the new animated film from DreamWorks HOME that features a progressive bingo game. It is a casual party game that can be played on TV and other smart devices in the home. The game is made possible by technology developed by Samsung in collaboration with Yahoo for the interaction of multiple screens (displays) in the living room.
- Samsung Milk Video curates the most popular and interesting video clips from websites to make it easy for users to access premium content from a growing list of nearly 50 content partners. Another helper for users can be the function My programs (on TV), which helps users discover new content easily and adds custom recommendations to it.
