amoled_logoSuper AMOLED displays are nothing new in the world of Samsung, but until now they were only available in more expensive models and in flagships Galaxy With a Galaxy Notes. However, the company plans to make its AMOLED displays available to a wide audience soon, by starting the production of displays for small and medium-sized phones, which means that the advanced technology, which is characterized by more accurate colors and lower consumption, will also be found in phones such as for example Galaxy J1.

In this way, the company wants to fight against the older LCD technology, which is still used in many phones today, and we can also encounter it in, for example, iPhone. However, Samsung wants companies to start switching to AMOLED technology and that is why it wants to reduce the production price of displays by up to 20%. In this way, the technology could be more attractive to other phone manufacturers. On the other hand, AMOLED displays still cost quite a lot. Even if Samsung managed to reduce the production price, the displays will still be more expensive than LCD by about 10%, while today they are more expensive by 30%.
