Project BeyondSamsung showed its 360-degree camera back in 2014, when it was labeled as Project Beyond and announced that it is a prototype camera intended for recording videos for virtual realities such as the Gear VR. Since then, we haven't heard about the interesting camera, and one would say that Samsung simply abandoned the project, but the opposite is true. In recent days, the company has registered a trademark for the Samsung Gear 360, and it is possible that this is what the aforementioned accessory will be called.

The company has applied for a trademark in its home country, adding that it is a product focused on photography and cameras, further supporting the claim that Samsung will soon introduce its 360-degree video camera. In addition, the company was supposed to present a camera prototype at this year's CES, so it is possible that its commercial version will really be called the Gear 360.
