As in previous years, this time too Samsung equipped its flagship with two different processors. While Galaxy S8 to Galaxy The S8+ for the American market has a Snapdragon 835 from Qualcomm, models for other markets (including Europe and thus the Czech Republic) can boast the Exynos 8895 chip, which is manufactured by Samsung itself. Both chipsets are quite similar in terms of features, functionality and performance, but there is still some difference.

Both chips are manufactured using 10nm FinFET technology, have gigabit LTE modems and support Bluetooth 5.0. But everyone was wondering if the processors were the same in terms of performance. Foreign server GSMArena subjected both models with different processors to a series of benchmarks and has now published the final results. They prove to us that Galaxy The S8 with Exynos 8895 for European and other markets is more powerful than the US model.

The main differences were noted in the graphics performance. From the benchmarks, it is clear that the ARM Mali-G71 MP20 in the Exynos 8895 is more powerful than the Adreno 540 GPU inside the Snapdragon 835 chipset. The processor from Samsung won all GFXBench, Basemark X and Basemark ES 3.1 Metal tests.

But there are also differences in overall performance. While the Snapdragon 835 achieved better results when using one core, the Exynos 889 was faster when using all cores, which is inherently more important in the result. When real performance is needed, all the cores are activated, and here the European model wins over the American one. However, it is interesting that both variants Galaxy The S8s offer lower single-core performance than last year's Galaxy S7 with Snapdragon processor.
