At the beginning of this week, the new OnePlus 5 was revealed to the world, with a design perhaps too closely inspired by the iPhone 7 Plus. Today, however, let's leave the apple phone aside, because here we have a comparison of the new with a few months old Galaxy S8. OnePlus is a company that always manages to put top technology in its phone and offer it at an affordable price, that is, of course, considering that it is a model comparable to other flagship models. The OnePlus 5 costs a pleasant €500, which translates to just under CZK 14. And as we all know Galaxy The S8 costs CZK 21.

But can the OnePlus 5 match Samsung's flagship model, as OnePlus presents it, when it's so much cheaper? We will have to wait for a complete comparison, but today we have a camera comparison, which was undertaken by a well-known American YouTuber House of Esposito.

One of the main advantages of the OnePlus 5 is the dual camera, with one of the lenses working as a telephoto lens, exactly the same as on the iPhone 7. The phone even offers a Portrait mode, where with the help of data from both cameras, the software automatically evaluates the entire focused object, which highlights and on the contrary, it blurs the background, making the foreground stand out. The larger smartphone from Apple offers exactly the same mode. In contrast, the OnePlus 5 camera lacks optical image stabilization, which can affect not only the quality of video while walking or running, but even the resulting quality of photos.

As you can see for yourself in the gallery above, the OnePlus 5 compared to Galaxy The S8 falters in low-light conditions. In ideal light, he adjusts the colors again, sometimes even overburning them, and overall the photos from him look less realistic than from Galaxy S8

In the video above, on the other hand, it can be seen that the quality of the front camera of the OnePlus 5 is significantly better than that of the South Korean phone. However, the absence of optical stabilization is noticeable when shooting from the main camera, and the image is definitely more shaky. The colors are again slightly tinted, but the result is not bad at all and often looks better than u Galaxy S8.

However, everyone is comfortable with something different, so it is up to you to decide what you think about a particular phone. Share your opinion in the comments below.
