Samsung unveiled the long-awaited phablet today at its Unpacked conference in New York Galaxy Note8, the next-generation Note phone designed for those who want to do things in a larger format. After his older brother – Galaxy S8 – mainly inherited the Infinity display and thus also the software home button with vibration response. But it now adds a dual camera, an improved S Pen stylus, better cooperation with DeX and, finally, noticeably higher performance.

Large infinity display

Galaxy The Note8 boasts a display that surpasses all previous Note models in size. Thanks to the thin body, the phone can still be comfortably held in one hand. The Super AMOLED Infinity display with a 6,3-inch diagonal and Quad HD+ resolution allows you to see more, and the less you are forced to scroll through the displayed content while using the phone. Galaxy Note8 provides more space for watching, reading or drawing, making it the perfect phone for multitasking.

Note users have long been able to take advantage of the Multi Window feature to display multiple windows, allowing them to do multiple things at once. Phone Galaxy The Note8 features a new App Pair feature that allows users to create their own app pairs on the edge of the screen and then easily run two apps at the same time. For example, you can watch a video while messaging your friends or start a conference call while viewing the data or materials you want to discuss.

Improved S Pen

Since its initial launch, the S Pen has become one of the hallmarks of Note phones. At the model Galaxy Note8 offers completely new possibilities with the S Pen to write, draw, control the phone, or communicate with friends. The pen is equipped with a finer tip, it is more sensitive to pressure³ and offers features that allow users to express themselves in ways no stylus or smartphone has ever offered.

When text-only communication isn't enough, Live Message lets you express your personality in a unique way and create compelling stories. Through the phone Galaxy Note8 gives you the ability to share animated texts and drawings across platforms that support animated GIF (AGIF) images. It's a whole new way to communicate with the S Pen – you can add freshness and emotion to your messages, breathing real life into them.

The Always On Display feature allows phone users to continuously display selected information on the display Galaxy keep a constant overview of notifications without having to unlock the phone. At the model Galaxy Note8 this function is now even more perfect. The Screen Off Memo function for taking notes while the screen is locked allows you to create up to a hundred pages of notes immediately after removing the S Pen from the phone, pin notes to the Always On display, and edit notes directly on this display.

For users who travel abroad or visit websites in a foreign language, the improved Translate function allows you to translate selected text simply by holding the S Pen over the text, after which a translation of not only individual words, but also entire sentences in up to 71 languages ​​will be displayed. In this way, units of measurement and foreign currencies can also be converted immediately.

Dual camera

For most consumers, one of the things they focus on the most when buying a new phone is the camera. In the field of cameras installed in mobile phones, Samsung belongs to the absolute top and in the phone Galaxy The Note8 puts consumers in the hands of the most powerful camera ever offered by a smartphone.

Galaxy The Note8 is equipped with two rear cameras with a resolution of 12 megapixels. Both cameras, i.e. a camera with a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens, are equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS). Whether you're exploring a new city or just running around your backyard, OIS lets you capture sharper images.

For more demanding photography, it supports the phone Galaxy Note8's Live Focus function, which allows you to control the depth of field by adjusting the blur effect in preview mode even after taking the picture.

In Dual Capture mode, both rear cameras take a picture at the same time, and you can save both pictures - a close-up shot with the telephoto lens and a wide-angle shot that captures the whole scene.

The wide-angle lens features a Dual Pixel sensor with fast autofocus, so you can capture sharper, clearer images even in low light. Galaxy The Note8 is also equipped with a top-notch 8-megapixel front-facing camera and smart autofocus, which you'll appreciate when taking sharp selfies and video calls.

Availability

The great news is that the Note series is coming back to the Czech market after two years, where it will be available in two color variants – Midnight Black and Maple Gold, as well as Single SIM and Dual SIM versions. The price stopped at 26 999 $. The phone goes on sale 15. September. They will be running from today, August 23, to September 14 pre-orders phone, when customers in the Czech Republic get the phone for free  a Samsung DeX docking station as a gift worth CZK 3. The condition is to order the phone through one of Samsung's partners.

Partners include, for example, Mobile Emergency, which, in addition to the DeX station, adds a 20% bonus to the purchase of your old phone. An additional bonus is that Mobil Emergency is preparing a night delivery of phones around Prague on September 15. Therefore, if you order a Note 8 from them, you will have it at home immediately after midnight, with a surprise.
