We are almost two months ago they brought news that Samsung is working on its own smart speaker similar to Amazon's Echo or Apple's HomePod. The main driving force of the speaker is supposed to be the virtual assistant Bixby, which finally spread to the whole world a few days ago. And thanks to this, Samsung has now revealed more about the upcoming speaker informace and hinted that we will see it soon.

It is true that the last time we talked about the speaker from the Samsung workshop heard in mid-July, when news also surfaced that we probably won't get the news this year. Shortly after the premiere Galaxy Note8 but the president of Samsung's mobile division, DJ Koh, confirmed that his company is indeed working on a smart speaker. He then added that the Bixby speaker will see the light of day "soon".

"As I've said before, I'd like to bring users a fruitful experience with Samsung devices in the home, and I want it to be more than just any experience," added Koh, indicating that Samsung is working on the speaker with some priority.

But Koh did not reveal more information. He didn't even share whether Bixby would be the speaker's main driver. But all the circumstances indicate that this will indeed be the case - launching a smart speaker without its own assistant, which Samsung is currently trying to expand, would not make the slightest sense.
