Samsung's entry into the world of completely wireless headphones was not unsuccessful at first glance. The first generation Gear IconX offered several interesting functions, such as a built-in player that allows you to listen to music even without a phone, an integrated fitness tracker or a heart rate sensor. However, users often complained about poor battery life. However, Samsung is not giving up and today at IFA 2017 in Berlin it presented the second Gear IconX in version 2.0.

But before we dive into the list of new features, let's focus on battery life. Samsung let us know that the new version of the headphones can last up to 5 hours while talking on the phone, and if you decide to listen only to music, then you can enjoy 6 hours of listening time. The promised values certainly sound promising, but the question is what the reality will be.

One of the main novelties of the Gear IconX (2018) is compatibility with Bixby, which ultimately means nothing else that you can use the headphones to activate the assistant without having to reach into your pocket for your phone. In addition, users can enjoy 4GB of internal memory to store songs and listen to even more music without having to carry the phone. The ability to measure and track physical activity has also been added, and hand in hand with that, the Running Coach function that will provide you informace about listening to music without having to look at the phone screen.
