The Samsung Mobile team has decided to promote open cooperation with partners in order to expand the range of functions offered by the tablet Galaxy Tab Active2 users, which now includes the ability to use IBM's Maximo system, so the device now also supports asset and workflow management functions. By combining the advanced asset management capabilities offered by IBM's solution with other features supported by the tablet, including the integration of biometric elements, support for the simultaneous display of multiple windows on the device's screen, and the ability to use the S Pen, workers gain the ability to perform their tasks in the inspection and maintenance of devices much more easily regardless of the complexity of the environment in which they work.

"Through this collaboration, IBM Maximo and Samsung Mobile B2B offer a solution to meet the ever-changing demands of the enterprise environment for mobile devices designed for industrial use, and provide field workers with new tools developed with their environment and tasks in mind , which fulfills said Sanjay Brahmawar, general manager responsible for IBM's Watson IoT Sales platform. “Users will be able to perform key analysis and activities directly in the field, such as updating timesheets or counting inventory items. All this in an intuitive, user-friendly interface on a robust and reliable device.”

Galaxy Furthermore, thanks to the partnership with Gamber Johnson and Ram®Mounts, the Tab Active2 is equipped with professional mounting options for commercial vehicles, police and other law enforcement vehicles. Collaborations with other partners bring new features, including explosion protection for the oil, gas and pharmaceutical industries powered by ECOM Instruments, Koamtac portable barcode scanning, Otterbox cases and iKey rugged portable and in-vehicle keypads.

Samsung Galaxy The Tab Active2 offers businesses advanced security capabilities powered by the defense industry-standard Knox platform and convenient biometric authentication, including a new fingerprint sensor with secure authentication and face recognition for hands-free access.
