At the beginning of this year, the South Korean giant introduced its smart assistant Bixby. Although he has introduced it in only a minimum of languages and only a handful of phones support it, he would like to use it much more in the future and make it a full-fledged competitor to Apple's Siri or Amazon's Alexa. And it is precisely to fulfill this goal that the next step is about to be taken.

The fact that Samsung wants to extend its assistant to tablets, watches and televisions has been rumored for quite some time. So far, however, it has only been discussed on a theoretical level. However, the recent trademark registration for Bixby on TV is putting new blood into the veins of all lovers of the virtual assistant.

From the information that Samsung released along with the trademark registration, Bixby in TV is described as software for searching for the desired service or TV content by the user's voice. She should be able to speak English and Korean at first, but later Chinese and other languages will be added over time. They will probably appear on TV simultaneously with the addition of languages to the mobile version of the assistant.

However, at the moment it is difficult to say whether all smart TVs will support the smart assistant or not. The release date is not clear either. However, the CES 2018 conference, which will be held in January of next year, appears to be the most likely option. However, let us be surprised.
