DxO has stated that the latest flagship of the South Korean giant Galaxy The S9+ has the best camera of any smartphone it has ever tested. The device achieved the highest rating ever given by DxO, namely 99 points, while competing devices Google Pixel 2 and iPhone X scored 98 and 97 points.

DxO praised the phone Galaxy The S9+ mainly due to the fact that it achieved excellent results in bright and sunny weather. The resulting photos had vivid colors, good exposure, and a wide dynamic range. Although the automatic focus was not the fastest that the company had ever tested, it obviously didn't matter at all.
The device's performance was also impressive when shooting at dusk, with the camera able to capture photos with nice exposures, vivid colors, accurate white balance and low noise. The rear camera received a high rating mainly due to autofocus, zoom, flash and bokeh, exposure, contrast and color accuracy. DxO staff in charge of testing took 1 test images and over two hours of video.
The rating is subjective, so you should take it with a grain of salt. The company said that comparing models is largely a matter of personal preference.
