Samsung introduced the Exynos 7 Series 9610 mobile processor, which used the 10nm FinFET manufacturing process. Samsung noted that the Exynos 9610 chip will bring high-end multimedia functions to mid-range devices.

The Exynos 7 series chips are primarily used in mid-range smartphones such as the series phones Galaxy A. While at flagships such as Galaxy S9, Samsung uses the Exynos 9 series. In addition to better multimedia features, the Exynos 9610 promises higher performance and speed. The processor has two clusters of four cores each, with the more powerful cluster offering Cortex-A73 with a clock frequency of 2,3 GHz and the more economical Cortex-A53 with a clock frequency of 1,6 GHz.
