Although South Korean Samsung has improved quite a bit over the past few years, especially in the use of its Exynos processors, fans and users still don't seem to be getting enough. This year's models Galaxy S20 to Galaxy The Note 20 with the Exynos 990 chip clearly showed that in terms of performance, the manufacturer still has a lot to catch up on. The situation has even gone so far as to create a petition calling on company officials to stop using these processors in premium models and instead come up with an adequate alternative. Samsung partially saved its reputation with the Exynos 1080, which played a fair match against competing smartphones, but even so, customers weren't too happy. However, the release of the upcoming high-end Exynos 2100 chip, about which speculation has been circulating for a long time, could turn the situation around.

Specifically, we could expect the Exynos 2100 already in the models Galaxy S21 and as the tests showed, it seems to be worth something. The chip has leapfrogged its long-time successor in the form of Snapdragon, specifically the Snapdragon 875 SoC processor, which is considered one of the best and most powerful chips of today. After all, Samsung finally decided to use 5nm technology and replace the obsolete and nowadays inefficient specially designed Mongoose cores. These should be replaced by several new chips in the form of three Cortex-A78 cores, four Cortex-A55 cores and a relatively unique Mali-G78 rendering unit. After all, existing processors are not only overplayed, but at the same time they cannot use energy consumption efficiently. We will see if Samsung will be careful about similar ailments and we will see a worthy alternative to the popular Snapdragon.
