Samsung during the presentation of the new flagship series Galaxy S21 announced an expanded partnership with Google, making some of the American technology giant's services a native part of the South Korean giant's One UI user interface. On One UI 3.1 devices, the Google Discover Feed reader is available as an alternative, and the Google News "app" can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and run as the default app. Now a menu has appeared in the latest version of the superstructure Androidu 11 for controlling smart home devices.

In the One UI 3.0 superstructure, Samsung introduced its own - from the SmartThings application - menu for controlling the smart home, and with version 3.1, it extended this option to devices compatible with Google's voice assistant. In the quick settings menu, you can access the smart home control by clicking the "Device" button and selecting the Google Home item from the drop-down menu. The user can easily switch between Google Home and SmartThings in the same menu.

The new feature is currently limited to devices with One UI 3.1, which are phones in the range Galaxy S21 and tablets Galaxy Tab S7 a Galaxy Tab S7+. In the following weeks, other devices that receive an update to the latest version of the superstructure should receive it.
