The flexible phone market has considerable potential going forward, and Samsung's display division Samsung Display is ideally positioned to take advantage of this situation. The company's flexible displays have already been used in consumer success devices such as Galaxy From Flip a Galaxy From Fold 2 and the division is now looking to sell its flexible OLED panels to other companies that want to make foldable smartphones. Google, Oppo and Xiaomi are among those companies, according to a new report out of South Korea.

Informace, that Samsung Display will supply its flexible OLED panels to other companies first appeared in January. It reportedly wants to supply up to a million flexible displays to various smartphone manufacturers this year.

Now, a report from Korean website The Elec has revealed some details about the panels that Samsung Display is said to be preparing for customers such as Google, Oppo and Xiaomi. According to her, Oppo is working on a Samsung-like clamshell flip phone Galaxy Z Flip. It should have ordered a 7,7-inch folding clamshell panel from Samsung's display division.

Xiaomi is said to be considering a form-factor not unlike Samsung for its upcoming foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold 2. Already last year he "pulled out" with a prototype that had a panel with a diagonal of 7,92 inches. Now, according to a Korean website, Samsung Display plans to provide flexible panels with a diagonal of 8,03 inches.

As for Google, it should have asked Samsung Display to develop a flexible panel for it with a diagonal of about 7,6 inches. However, it is not known what form-factor it could use for its foldable device.

As the website adds in the case of the American tech giant, at this point it is not certain that its flexible phone will make it further than the prototype stage.
