YouTube and Facebook are still the most dominant social media in the US, but Facebook has stopped growing. That's one of the main findings of a new Pew Research Center survey of how Americans use social platforms.

The survey shows that the most used platforms are YouTube and Facebook. However, of these two, only the first mentioned is growing, increasing its share among adults from 73% in 2019 to 81% this year. Facebook's numbers, on the other hand, have not changed since the year before last and remain at 69 percent.

Other popular social media in the US are Instagram (40%), Pinterest (31%), LinkedIn (28%), Snapchat (25%), Twitter and WhatsApp (23%), TikTok (21%) and the top ten is rounded off by Reddit with 18 percent. Most of these platforms have not grown significantly since 2019, with only Reddit seeing noticeable growth, from 11 to 18%. Although the growth of these platforms has slowed, Americans are no less addicted to them - 49% of Facebook users said they visit the network several times a day. 45% of Snapchat users say they open the app more than once a day, as do 38% of Instagram users and about a third of YouTube users.

YouTube is also the most used social platform among young people, in which group it has a share of 95%. Followed by Instagram with 71 percent and Facebook with 70 percent. And how are you doing with social media? Which ones do you use and if so how often? Let us know in the comments below the article.
