Companies Apple and Samsung have been at the cutting edge of technology for several years. However, Samsung remains the world's leading smartphone maker as no one sells as many devices as the South Korean giant. When you then consider that about the manufacturer with the system Android certainly not an emergency, it is of course a definite success. But then it's here Apple.

The latter has a unique advantage thanks to its operating system. No other company makes a device with the system iOS, and none of its users practically have anywhere to go. Due to this fact, it has iPhone virtually zero competition because those who want to stay with the ecosystem Apple, they only have to buy equipment Apple. If they want another product, they simply have to exit this zone.

Jigsaw puzzles as the future

The market for high-end smartphones has also stagnated accordingly. Rising prices and a lack of major evolutionary changes have led users to hold on to previous generations of devices for longer. This forced manufacturers like Samsung to take certain steps to improve its situation in this segment. And as you can imagine, his answer was foldable phones.

Samsung was also the first major company to launch foldable smartphones on a large scale. And it still faces relatively little competition. While others are just introducing their models, Samsung's foldable smartphones are already in their third generation (in the case of the Z Fold, the Z Flip has generation two). And what Apple? You would look for it in vain on the jigsaw puzzle market.

At the same time, the value proposition of foldable smartphones is incredible. Anyone who is bored with even the latest smartphones looking and feeling like phones that are a few years old will be immediately intrigued. Flip clamshell phones such as Galaxy Z Flip (or Motorola Razr), they are incredibly versatile and superbly portable. Advice Galaxy The Z Fold then provides a huge screen area that effectively puts a straight tablet in your pocket.

Samsung as the market leader

The specifications are also usually not lagging behind those of the flagships. There are compromises, but only minimal ones. This was also essential for the realization that it is really not just some current fad of the time, but that jigsaw puzzles should be taken as serious smartphones. They can basically do everything that any other high-end smartphone, and at the same time also a tablet.

Last year, Samsung introduced models Galaxy From Fold3 a Galaxy From Flip3. Both models are the world's first foldable smartphones that are water resistant. Galaxy The Z Fold3 also supports the S Pen, confirming its status as a device designed for demanding users who don't want to carry two different devices when one will do.

And what about that Apple? It's a sad situation. It may seem that he has simply given up on all innovations in the smartphone segment. Maybe also because there is no longer any reason for him to try. It has diversified its revenue streams enough that the company can still make record profits without pushing the saw in hardware. Sure, every year there's a new more powerful chip, improved cameras and… What else? In the display, it is rather just catching up with its competition, for example, it completely misses out on fast charging.

Apple as a loser

Had it not been for a pandemic in the middle of launching one of Samsung's most important products, its jigsaw puzzles would have given Apple some serious headaches indeed. Indeed, the economic uncertainty that followed forced many people to cut back on their spending. When everything is closed and questions arise about job insecurity, you suddenly think twice about buying a phone for the price of an average monthly salary (and more).

But despite the challenging circumstances, sales of Samsung's foldable phones reached record numbers, especially in the case of the model Galaxy From the Flip 3, the price of which starts at some 26 thousand CZK. People are excited to try something that breaks the monotony of smartphone design established in 2007 with the introduction of the first iPhone and by extension 2017 when Apple introduced the first frameless iPhone X.

Once the world fully opens up again, and chip conditions allow, consumers' delayed plans to buy new devices will also be released. And it may well happen that he will have Apple bad luck. Perhaps we will see many more people simply switch to the new folding devices that show the future of the market. This is also one of the reasons why Samsung should try to expand its line of foldable smartphones even more.

The model is already being talked about Galaxy Fold Lite, which would reduce the purchase price to a possible minimum. This year, Samsung will present the 4th generation of its Fold. If we were to take it by points, the result is clear. The South Korean manufacturer has a 4-0 lead over the American one in this respect, while it still has really strong players on its rotation who can still significantly increase this score.
