Samsung has just unveiled the complete portfolio of its flagship smartphone line as part of its Unpacked event. As expected, we got a new trio of phones with the designation Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, where the last mentioned belongs to the top of the range. But if you don't appreciate its technological conveniences, Samsung will be for you Galaxy S22 and S22+ a great and cheaper alternative.

Due to the duo of smartphones Galaxy The S22 and S22+ are not much different from their predecessors and keep the brand's design signature established by the previous generation. The two models differ mainly in the size of the display, i.e. the dimensions and the size of the battery.

Display and dimensions

Samsung Galaxy The S22 therefore has a 6,1" FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The S22+ model then offers a 6,6" display with the same specifications. Both devices also have an ultrasonic fingerprint reader integrated into the display. The dimensions of the smaller model are 70,6 x 146 x 7,6 mm, the larger one 75,8 x 157,4 x 7,6 mm. The main camera is 50MPx, its aperture is f/1,8, the angle of view is 85 degrees, it does not lack Dual Pixel technology or OIS. The telephoto lens is 10MPx with triple zoom, 36 degree angle of view, OIS af/2,4. The front camera in the display opening is 10MPx with an 80-degree angle of view and f2,2.

Performance and memory

Both models will offer 8 GB of operating memory, you will be able to choose from 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. The included chipset is manufactured using 4nm technology and is either an Exynos 2200 or a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The variant used depends on the market where the device will be distributed. We will get the Exynos 2200.

Other equipment

The battery size of the smaller model is 3700 mAh, the larger one is 4500 mAh. There is support for 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. There is support for 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6E (only in the case of the model Galaxy S22+), Wi-Fi 6 (Galaxy S22) or Bluetooth in version 5.2, UWB (only Galaxy S22+), Samsung Pay and a typical set of sensors, as well as IP68 resistance (30 minutes at a depth of 1,5m).
