Last year, Samsung came up with the RAM Plus feature, which in select phones Galaxy (he was the first Galaxy A52s 5G) expanded the capacity of the operating memory with the help of internal memory. But it had a certain limitation - it was not possible to customize it, it always added "only" 4 GB of virtual memory. However, this is now changing with the arrival of the One UI 4.1 superstructure.

The One UI 4.1 superstructure, which is the first to be used by the phones presented yesterday Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 + a Galaxy S22Ultra, brings compared to the version 4.0 only minor improvements, however, it has one small ace up its sleeve – it allows you to resize the RAM Plus. Specifically, it can be set to 2, 4, 6 or 8 GB. This means that the S22 and S22+ can now have up to 16GB of RAM and the S22 Ultra up to 20GB of RAM. The question is whether any application or game will use such amount of memory, currently there is none. Even so, this is a feature that may come in handy in the (more distant) future.

RAM Plus works by using part of the storage to expand the size of the RAM. This is not a groundbreaking innovation - the memory paging function, which is present in every phone with Androidem. Since RAM Plus is a feature of One UI 4.1, we can expect it to be available on other Samsung smartphones later.

Newly introduced Samsung products will be available for purchase, for example, on Alza
