A few days ago you could read on our website that the Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi tests a 150W charger. If you thought that charging this fast was the current technological ceiling, you are wrong. Now it has become clear that Realme is preparing an even faster charger.

Website Gizmochina posted a photo of a Realme charger with an incredible 200 W. It is codenamed VCK8HACH and supports the PD (Power Delivery) protocol, but only up to 45 W.

Recall that Realme currently bundles charging adapters with a maximum power of 65W with its phones, so moving to 200W would be a huge leap forward for the Chinese technology predator. The company already announced in the summer of 2020 that it will commercialize its 125W UltraDART charging technology this year. So it can be seen that it has been working to become one of the major players in this field for some time now. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same about Samsung, which has not paid such attention to fast charging for a long time and whose chargers have a maximum power of 45 W (and they are only intended for flagships, and not all of them).
