Half a decade ago, Samsung's main smartphone rivals were HTC and LG. However, now these brands can only remember how they used to warm to the Korean giant, the latter even closed its smartphone division a year ago. However, HTC is not giving up and is preparing to return to the "big league", at least according to new reports from Taiwan.

According to the local website DigiTimes, which cites the SamMobile server, HTC plans to introduce a new flagship after almost four years. It is to be closely linked with its virtual and augmented reality devices and become part of its metaverse portfolio. Not much else is known about the new smartphone from the Taiwanese manufacturer at the moment.
