At the end of the week, we reported that Samsung except Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 are apparently going to introduce another "jigsaw puzzle", with a scrolling display. At the same time, we referred to the recognized leaker Ice universe. But now it looks like that won't be the case, at least according to well-known mobile display insider Ross Young.

According to him, the code name Diamond, or Project Diamond, under which Samsung's third "bender" was supposed to be hidden, was actually an internal designation for the series Galaxy S23, which the Korean giant is preparing for next year. It should therefore already be under development.

About what could be the turn Galaxy S23 to bring, we can only speculate at this point. The only thing that is practically certain is that the individual models will be powered by the next Exynos and Snapdragon flagship chipsets. The next top Exynos should be manufactured by Samsung using a 3nm process using GAAFET (Gate-All-Around Field Effect Transistor) technology, which according to unofficial reports will be significantly more energy efficient than traditional manufacturing processes based on FINFET (Fin-Shaped Field Effect Transistor) technology.

It can also be expected that the top model of the next flagship series, Galaxy The S23 Ultra will have a 200MPx Samsung ISOCELL HP1 photosensor, although it will certainly not be the first phone to get it (one such candidate is e.g. Motorola Frontier). We can also expect the series to have better 5G speeds thanks to the recently introduced Snapdragon X70 modem. Rather, it is wishful thinking that the series offers faster charging than 45W, which is simply not enough for flagship smartphones these days (and in the current flagship series, only models Galaxy S22 + a S22Ultra).
