When devices such as Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra, so you can't have high expectations from the smallest of the trio of models. But it's quite refreshing to hold a device in your hand that's neither big nor small, yet manages to do all the essentials.
Either Galaxy I will compare the S22 with its larger siblings or model Galaxy The S21 FE, so the fact that it offers the smallest 6,1" display of them, actually does not limit it in any way. After all, this is also its advantage, because if larger devices are not very comfortable to operate, the smaller model should balance this. Compared to 6,6" Galaxy In addition, the S22+ does not offer any drastic restrictions, so the only difference here is really the size (and the size of the battery and its slower charging).
As I already wrote in the unboxing, the green color will captivate you at first sight. Some might like a lighter shade, but that's very subjective. The phone's frame, which Samsung calls Armor Aluminum, feels nice to the touch, as you feel like you're holding an exclusive device. This is also helped by Gorilla Glass Victus+, which is present on both the front and back of the device.
Compared to all the "heavy" weights, I have to appreciate the weight as well. 168 g is just right, although of course the materials used are a sign of it. But plastic is no longer part of the premium range, and that's a good thing. For comparison, let's say that iPhone 13 weighs 173 ga iPhone 13 Pro 203 g, while both also have a diagonal of their display of 6,1 inches.
It will be interesting with the battery
The battery has a capacity of only 3700 mAh and so far it is holding up as expected. We'll see how it performs in the review. However, the first charge was unexpectedly fast, in terms of the speed of charging from zero to 100%. Despite the fact that fast charging is not present, the device was charged to full battery capacity in an hour and a quarter when using a 60W adapter, which other models in the series could only dream of (as evidenced by their reviews). But of course they contain a bigger battery.
The cameras are the same as in the case of the larger Plus model. So there is a triple setup consisting of a 12MPx ultra-wide-angle, a 50MPx wide-angle lens and a 10MPx telephoto lens with triple zoom. The front camera placed in the hole has 10 MPx. You can see the first sample photos in the gallery below. You can full resolution photos download here, as the images have been scaled down for the web.
When small size is the main advantage
If the article with the title "first impressions" is really meant to describe the first impressions, then it cannot be expressed otherwise than that they are absolutely ideal. WITH Galaxy With the S22, you have an ideally large device that offers the ideal specifications. Compared to the Ultra, there is a clear relief in the case of cameras, the S Pen would not make sense on a small display, but paradoxically, compared to the larger model with the nickname Plus, I do not encounter any limitations. I was afraid, as one is already used to the really large diagonals, that I would be the model Galaxy S22 restricted. But the opposite is true, and I'm curious about what I'll say in a week.
why is that phone worse than my current S20…??
for that reason I didn't buy the S21 and again I won't buy the S22
if this goes on like this Samsung will really force me to switch to Apple - but they sure know what they're doing...
I'd rather say they don't know...
Galaxy The S22 goes head-to-head with the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro. But would you really help yourself by switching? Do these models offer so many benefits?
He would obviously help himself by writing such nonsense…
You will not pass. I did it and it lasted "6" days. IPhone I returned the 13 and forgave Samsung…
I say too iphone no mistake rather oneplus
so of course I'll wait, but as I say, I have no reason to change the phone and until Samsung changes this nonsense, I won't buy anything from them - they do it themselves...
I don't have such a strong opinion, I like it Windows i Linux, I also have an iPad and a MacBook (a great thing for traveling) - so in general Apple I don't care about the world, but don't have the phone plugged in yet...
so, if Samsung annoys me for a long time, I'll simply go to the competitor - Apple, and I won't come back (unless there's a reason to do so - maybe they wise up)...
The biggest disappointment for me so far! I had the S8, S20 and now the new S22. I think that the primary function of a telephone is to call. Unfortunately, this cannot be relied on with the S22. Even if you are in a covered area where there has never been a problem, you will receive an SMS with the information that someone could not call. In addition, during a call, the sound is sometimes interrupted as if you have turned off the microphone. It takes 3s, but it's annoying. I dealt with the operator. There was a sim card replacement and a kind of network reboot from their technicians. Nothing helped. I contacted Samsung and lo and behold. We are aware of the issue and it will be fixed in an upcoming update. They are said to be just flies that need to be fine-tuned. Don't get mad at me, but for a phone for this money, those flies should be fine-tuned before they go on sale! The phone is beautiful, but sometimes you just don't use it and everyone pretends that it's normal!
