Last update for androids version of the Spotify app (version 8.7.20.1261) is causing annoying problems. According to posts on the platform's official forums, some users are specifically experiencing intermittent playback and the associated disappearance of playback notifications.
For the past few days, posts have been appearing on the Spotify community forum or the Reddit social network where users of the popular streaming platform are complaining about its latest update. Specifically, the problem is said to be the disappearing playback control bar located at the bottom, which means the app doesn't recognize that something is playing.
Users also do not see a notification for the system when this issue occurs Android, which lets them know that something is currently playing. This will also allow them to do things that are not normally possible, such as listening to a song on Spotify and playing a video on YouTube at the same time. The problem was noticed on smartphones Galaxy, Pixel or OnePlus, with most of them running on Androidin 12
The exact cause of this bug is not yet clear, Spotify has already confirmed the bug anyway and requested more from affected users informace. A fix should be available in the coming weeks. What about you, do you use Spotify? If so, have you encountered the above issue? Let us know in the comments.
I have this problem on my Samsung A52s.
Spotify has become practically unusable. Exactly the problems as in the article. After a few seconds it stops playing and doesn't work until I turn Spotify back on. And so on and on.
Fortunately, you can downgrade.
But I don't understand why the developers - seeing so many problems - don't downgrade officially. When I released such a non-functional thing at work (and of course this can and has happened), I immediately returned it to the previous build and started to solve what was wrong with the new one.
But leaving people like this for a week (I think the update was on the weekend) without a functional service that they pay for, I don't understand...
Also, still a problem with switching off and with the bottom bar...
Hope they fix it soon
We all hope so.
