Oppo has launched a new low-end smartphone called the Oppo A57 5G, which is the successor to last year's Oppo A56 5G. Among other things, it offers a large display with a higher refresh rate, a very capable chipset in its class or a large battery.

The Oppo A57 5G got a 6,56-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The hardware operation is handled by the Dimensity 810 chipset, which is supported by 6 or 8 GB of operating system and 128 GB of internal memory.

The camera is dual with a resolution of 13 and 2 MPx, with the first having an f/2.2 lens aperture and the second serving as a depth of field sensor. The front camera has a resolution of 8 MPx. The equipment includes a fingerprint reader built into the power button, a 3,5 mm jack and stereo speakers, which are a relatively rare phenomenon in this class. There is also the Bluetooth 5.2 wireless standard with high-quality aptX HD and LDAC codecs.

The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and charges at 10 W, so it does not support fast charging. This can be considered a certain weakness even for a budget smartphone today. On the contrary, it pleases Android 12, which is overlaid with the ColorOS 12.1 superstructure. The new product will enter the Chinese market this week and will be sold in the 8/128 GB variant for 1 yuan (approximately CZK 500). Whether it will later be available in international markets is unknown at this time.
