As you may know from our previous news, Google has been working on its first foldable smartphone for some time, with the (probable) name Pixel Notepad (previously referred to as the Pixel Fold). According to a new tweet from a usually well-informed mobile display insider, its outer display will be smaller than the one expected on Samsung's next 'jigsaw' Galaxy ZFold4.

According to leaker Ross Young, who is otherwise the head of DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants), the Pixel Notepad will have a 5,8-inch external display, wider and shorter than the expected 6,19-inch secondary display of the fourth Fold. Since both devices are expected to have a similarly sized flexible display, this means that the Pixel Notepad will have a wider aspect ratio than the Fold4.

Pixel Notepad should otherwise have a similar body shape to Oppo Find Women, a Google Tensor chip paired with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory, a dual rear camera with a resolution of 12,2 and 12 MPx (the main one will reportedly be based on the IMX363 sensor from the Pixel 2-5 series) and two selfie cameras with a resolution of 8 MPx. As for the internal display, it should measure 7,6 inches and support a variable refresh rate with a maximum of 120 Hz. The phone will reportedly cost $1 (roughly CZK 400) and could be launched in the fall of this year together with a number of Pixel 7. But it is not excluded that Google will mention it at the planned Google I/O conference, which starts on May 11.
