For some time now, the outdoor weather has finally been welcoming nature trips. Whether you are a moderate hiker or want to break all kinds of records in nature, you can equip yourself with one of the useful applications that we present in this article for your next trip.
In-weather
If you're going out into the outdoors, you're sure to be interested in what kind of weather awaits you and how you can adapt your gear and equipment to the current forecast. In-weather is a great and very reliable Czech application in which you can find informace about the current state of the weather, as well as its development for the following hours and days. The app is free, ad-free, and also offers desktop widgets.
mapy.cz
We will stay with Czech applications for a while. The Mapy.cz application could definitely come in handy during your trips to nature. In addition to the possibility of searching and planning routes, Mapy.cz offers the possibility of searching for points of interest, downloading maps for offline use, searching for tips for trips or perhaps saving your own routes.
Ambulance
We firmly believe that your trips to the countryside will be accident-free. However, it is always better to prepare for all eventualities and install the Rescue app on your mobile phone. The ambulance not only helps you to call for help - even if you cannot accurately describe your location or cannot speak, but also offers informace about nearby medical facilities or tips for providing first aid.
Stellarium Mobile
Are you going to spend the night in nature? If you know the sky will be clear, you can use the night outdoors to stargaze with Stellarium Mobile. Just point your phone at the sky and the app will tell you what constellation you're looking at. But Stellarium Mobile also offers a comprehensive collection of images of stellar bodies along with useful ones informacemi and many other great features.
iNaturalist
During your trips to nature, you are guaranteed to come across not only interesting herbs and trees, but also animals, birds and interesting insects. You can use the app called iNaturalist to learn about nature without any worries. Just take a photo of a tree, plant, or representative of the animal kingdom with your phone's camera, upload the image to the application, and soon you will receive its identification.
"All you need is your iPhone's camera..." To a Samsung magazine?
It's the force of habit when you've been writing about the iPhone for years. Thanks for the warning, we fixed it in the article.
I uninstalled the In-weather application after a few years - currently it is rather one of the worse ones, see reviews for the last months on Google Play. I've been using "Meteocentrum Weather" for some time now, where they predict using artificial intelligence, and so far I'm satisfied 🙂
Thanks for the tip, we'll try it.
