The bane of any smart device is that it needs to be set up in some way. This of course applies to all electronics, including smart TVs and monitors. Therefore, here you will find the procedure to set up the Smart Monitor M8 of Samsung.

After connecting the monitor to the network and starting it with the button on the back, you first select the language. There is a circular router on the controller for this, just remember to pull out the battery cover on the bottom of the controller first. It should be mentioned here that the interface throws you roughly halfway through the list, so don't be alarmed if you reach the end and can't find Czech. It is located at the top, i.e. at the beginning of the list. If you happen to run out of juice in the controller, recharge it using the USB-C cable.

Settings by controller and smartphone

You have two options to set up the monitor. The first is over the phone Galaxy, but if you don't have it at hand, or you are using a different brand of device, you can continue using the controller, which is also described in this guide. Simply click on the desired option and press the button in the middle of the circle on the controller to confirm.

Next, you need to connect the device to a wireless network. So choose yours and enter the password for it. You will see a virtual keyboard on which you can move and select characters relatively easily with the controller. Subsequently, it is time to agree to the terms and conditions and search for updates. Poud is one available, you can do it now, but expect it to take some time. You can even skip it and update the monitor only after its initial setup.

If you have a Samsung account, you will be prompted to log in here. But you can skip that. After that, you will already see a summary and recommendations for expanding the content. The last step is to determine the quality of the sound output, when the monitor analyzes the surrounding sounds and adapts to them. There is also a demonstration of how it all works. And it works really well.

That's practically all. It won't take more than a few minutes. After the setup is complete, you can connect the computer with Windows or macOS, when you just need to connect them with a cable and the monitor will already recognize them, or you can also connect them wirelessly. After a while of testing, you can then determine the resolution, brightness, contrast, sharpness and other necessary settings.
