Daniel Lutz's name has been spoken with respect in the gaming industry for a long time. Lutz worked as the creative director of the great reimaginings of Square Enix's famous brands in the form of Hitman GO and Tomb Raider GO. However, he started his development career several years before joining a large publishing house. You may have played his previous independent projects, such as the puzzle speeders Colorblind or Monospace. But now the talented developer is focusing on his fast-approaching release, an original variation on the tower defense game genre, Isle of Arrows.

At the same time, it is a relatively ambitious project. Lutz is developing the game like all his previous projects under the moniker Nonverbal, and Isle of Arrows is intended to target PCs in addition to mobile devices. On both platforms, it will be a new look at the already experienced genre. The game mixes elements of roguelike gameplay with an increased level of randomness thanks to the use of a deck of cards to build your defensive ramparts against waves of enemies.

Compared to other titles in the genre, Isle of Arrows will limit you mainly with available cards. You lick each turn from the deck, with the option to pay a small amount of in-game currency to exchange one of them. The game promises three campaigns with unique buildings, daily challenges and an endless mode. Isle of Arrows should na Android arrive during the summer. You can see what it looks like in the video above.
