Xiaomi has been working on a 200W charger for some time. It received Chinese certification in July and should be launched soon. Now it has been revealed that the Chinese smartphone giant is preparing an even faster charger, specifically with a power of 210 W, which should charge the phone from 0-100% in less than 8 minutes.
Xiaomi's charger, which bears the designation MDY-13-EU, has now received China's 3C certification, so it shouldn't be long before it hits the scene. Whereas the company's 200W charger will charge a 4000mAh phone in 8 minutes, the 210W should do it in under 8 minutes. However, it can be assumed that with a higher battery capacity, the charging time will increase to double digits.
At the moment, it is not clear which phone the new charger could arrive with, but the next flagship series Xiaomi 13 or the Xiaomi MIX 5 smartphone is on offer. It should be noted that Xiaomi is not the only smartphone manufacturer working on super-fast chargers. Realme is also active in this field, which it introduced in March Technology fast charging with a power of up to 200 W, Vivo, which has already launched its 200 W charger on the market (in July together with the iQOO 10 Pro smartphone), or Oppo, which even has a 240 W charger in development. Samsung has a lot of catching up to do in this regard, as its current fastest charger only has a power of 45W, and it still takes a disproportionately long time to charge a compatible phone with it.
"..with a power of 210W which should charge the phone from 0-100% in less than 8 minutes"
what about the flashlight? I didn't read anywhere if such cycles can last 10 or 20 😀
Oddly enough, the manufacturer usually states two years when it should still have 80% of its capacity. But that was at 100W. By pure mathematics, in this case, it would change within a year.
If those batteries last all day at full load, then I don't care how long it takes to charge overnight. They're just measuring their feet with this.
if android, then Xiaomi.
Maximum 😀
