Samsung smartwatch and platform Wear The OS underwent several fundamental changes last year. The Korean company abandoned its operating system Tizen OS in favor Wear Google's OS, which raises the question of what would happen if the two companies joined forces and worked as one on an operating system Android and devices Galaxy?

Samsung is by far the most influential smartphone manufacturer with the system Android. Google's Pixels don't even come close to them in terms of global reach and market popularity. It could be said that Google also owes much of its success to Samsung with regards to its mobile operating system, seeing as how Samsung has become somewhat of a face of hardware with Androidem.

But hardware without software has no value, and the reverse is also true. So could an alliance between the companies combine the best of both worlds? And if so, why hasn't it happened yet? What would the mobile world look like if Google and Samsung worked as one software and hardware giant (disregarding any monopoly issues)?

What would Samsung and Google gain from such an alliance

Although it may not seem like it, Google would benefit from this alliance. Indeed, it could leverage Samsung's global retail network and tap into its expertise in tablet software development and the DeX platform. It would also get access to the best hardware available, assuming Samsung starts releasing the device Galaxy with a clean operating system Android. However, this partnership would also likely mean that Samsung would give up its own features, such as the Bixby assistant and the store Galaxy Store, and of course in favor of services operated by Google, such as Google Assistant and Google Play. Which might be the least of it.

Google, on the other hand, would have to leave Pixels and other hardware, especially tablets and watches, Google Nest would not be affected because Samsung does not have a full-fledged replacement for them. This partnership could also help Samsung offer the best possible and highly optimized operating system Android, which, after all, could implement many elements from One UI. And perhaps a collaboration between Samsung and Google could lead to exceptional Tensor chips that Samsung could then use in its smartphones and tablets Galaxy instead of Exynos. In theory, both companies could finally optimize the system's user environment Android at the factory level, both in terms of software and hardware, as is the case with Apple, actually the main competitor of both.

Of course, this alliance will probably never happen, but it's still interesting to think about. For better or for worse, which is the point of view, the smartphone market would be with the system Android fundamentally changed as a result of the much closer partnership between Samsung and Google. The result could be better phones for the customers who would benefit the most, but both Samsung and Google would probably just have to sacrifice something, which is exactly what neither would want. This is also why we are only moving here at the level of considerations and do not decide when this will finally happen.
