Samsung is usually the first in the smartphone world to use Corning's Gorilla Glass in its devices. At the end of last year, Corning introduced a new glass Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and promised to be more resistant to breakage while having the same scratch resistance. Now the company confirmed, that its new glass will be the first to be used in phones Galaxy new generation.

Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is also focused on the environment, according to the manufacturer, and received Environmental Claim Validation certification for containing an average of 22% recycled pre-consumer material. This certificate is issued by the independent research and analytical company UL (Underwriters Laboratories). “Our next flagships Galaxy are the first devices to use Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, offering both better durability and sustainability,” said Stephanie Choi, chief marketing officer of Samsung's mobile division.
