Samsung introduced the 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7 gaming monitor last month. It was first announced for the South Korean market and a little later for Taiwan. The Korean giant has now announced its availability for global markets. He said the monitor will go on sale in most major markets by the end of the 1st quarter of this year. It can be expected to arrive here as well (given that its 32-inch sibling is available here).

The 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7 is Samsung's first Mini-LED gaming monitor that has a flat screen. It has a 4K resolution, an aspect ratio of 16:10, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a response time of 1 ms, support for the HDR10+ format, VESA Display HDR600 certification and permanently high brightness with a maximum of 600 nits. Samsung also used a matte coating on the screen to reduce light reflections.

The monitor is equipped with two 20W speakers, one DisplayPort 1.4 connector, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB 3.1 type A ports, a VESA 200x200 mount and RGB backlighting on the back. Wireless connectivity is covered by Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2.

The monitor runs on the Tizen operating system, which gives it a big competitive advantage, as no other gaming monitors from other brands have a full-fledged operating system. It can run all popular music and video apps and integrates the Samsung Gaming Hub platform, which brings gaming cloud streaming services such as Amazon Luna, Xbox Cloud and GeForce Now. Also worth mentioning is the Samsung Game Bar function, which displays various informace about the game, including frame rate, input lag, HDR and VRR modes, aspect ratio, and audio output settings.
