One UI 5.1 was originally thought to be a minor improvement over version 5.0. However, it brings a number of new ones functions and improves existing ones. Now it has been revealed that it also improves protection against cyber attacks through a feature called Samsung Message Guard.

Samsung describing as the newest cyber security threat, the so-called zero-click exploits. Such an exploit could allow an attacker to attach malicious code to an image, send it to your phone, and infect it without you having to interact with the image attachment or open the message.

According to Samsung, Message Guard is "a kind of virtual quarantine." It "captures" the images that users receive in a quarantine separate from the rest of the device and analyzes them piece by piece in a controlled environment, preventing potential malicious code from accessing files on your device's storage and interacting with the operating system.

Citing mobile operator Verizon's data breach investigation report last year, Samsung said data breaches are becoming more common, more than tripling between 2013 and 2021. In addition, the Korean giant maintains smartphone and tablet users Galaxy secure through the Knox platform. It prevents attacks through video and audio formats.
