Samsung was the largest global TV maker last year. He became it for the seventeenth time in a row. Considering the extremely competitive environment, this is a remarkable achievement.

As Samsung stated in the press release message, its share of the global TV market last year was 29,7%. In 2022, the Korean giant sold 9,65 million QLED TVs (including Neo QLED TVs). Since launching QLED TVs in 2017, Samsung has sold more than 35 million QLED TVs by the end of last year. In the premium TV segment (with a price above $2 or roughly CZK 500), Samsung's share was even higher – 56%, which is more than the cumulative sales of TV brands in second to sixth place.

Samsung claims that it has been able to maintain the position of "television" number one for so long thanks to a customer-oriented approach and the introduction of newer technologies. In 2006, he introduced the Bordeaux TV series and three years later his first LED TVs. It launched the first smart TV in 2011. In 2017, it unveiled QLED TVs to the world, and a year later QLED TVs with 8K resolution.

In 2021, the Korean giant launched the first Neo QLED TVs with Mini LED technology and last year a TV with MicroLED technology. In addition, it has premium lifestyle TVs such as The Frame, The Serif, The Sero and The Terrace.
