If you have noticed that you recently v Android Car freezes Waze navigation, you are not alone. The app has now received a new update which has freezing issues in the Android Repairing the car, however, does not bring the long-awaited functionality.
The new update for Waze has version 4.92.0.1 and is currently available as a beta version. Its changelog mentions a fix for app freezing in v Android A car that has been reported by a number of users recently as a problem.
The issue was causing Waze users to have their navigation randomly freeze when running over Android Car. According to some users, this was happening during launching navigation, while others reported that the map worked correctly, but their location did not doesn't move and navigation directions do not work properly. The latest update is supposed to solve these problems, but some users on the social network Reddit claims that they have not been completely resolved.

Unfortunately, the new update, while expected, did not fix one of the glaring issues with Waze v Android Car. Even though the redesign of the latter application, called Coolwalk, has been slowly rolling out for several weeks, the redesign support still hasn't arrived in Waze in a sharp version. So the support is still only available as a beta, but some users on Reddit reports, that it disappeared with the new update.
