With a new flagship series Galaxy With the S23, Samsung hit the nail on the head. One of the main reasons for her success is that it uses Qualcomm's chipset in all markets, specifically the overclocked version Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with the nickname “For Galaxy". Now, news has hit the airwaves that the Korean tech giant has resumed developing its own processor cores, which it abandoned years ago in favor of Arm's cores.

The Business Korea website came up with message, that Samsung, or rather its largest division Samsung Electronics, has created an internal team led by engineer Rahul Tuli to design its own processor cores. Tuli was previously a senior developer at AMD where he worked on various processor-related projects. The website adds that Samsung's first modern processors could see the light of day in 2027.

But Samsung denied the news about the development of its own processor cores. “The recent media report that Samsung has created an internal team dedicated to the development of processor cores is not true. We have long had multiple in-house teams responsible for processor development and optimization, while continuously recruiting global talent from relevant fields.” the Korean giant said in a statement.

Samsung has been rumored for some time to be developing a next-generation chipset that should be exclusively used by high-end devices Galaxy. The company is reportedly planning to introduce it in 2025. Until then, its "flagships" should be powered by Qualcomm chips. A specialized team within the Samsung MX mobile division is said to be working on the chipset, which is said to aim to solve the long-standing "pains" of Samsung chips, which are lower energy efficiency (leading to unpleasant overheating in long-term load) and performance compared to Snapdragons.
