Until the introduction of the successor to Qualcomm's current flagship chip Snapdragon 8 Gen2 there is still a lot of time left (apparently at least 8 months), but already the first details about it have leaked. If they are based on truth, we have something to look forward to.

According to a known leaker who goes by the name on Twitter RGcloudS will Qualcomm's next flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset feature one high-performance core, four performance cores and three power-saving cores. The main core - Cortex-X4 - is said to be clocked at 3,7 GHz, which would be a noticeable improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, whose primary core runs "only" at 3,2 GHz, and over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, which chip is used by the series Galaxy S23 and whose main core "ticks" at a frequency of 3,36 GHz.

The question is whether Samsung's next flagship series Galaxy The S24 will have a special version of the next top Snapdragon, following the example of the current "flagships", or it will be satisfied with the standard version. Another question is whether Galaxy Will the S24 use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 exclusively, or will Samsung bring Exynos back into the game. Anyway, anecdotal reports suggest that it will be the first option. On that note, the company is said to be working on a next-generation chip optimized for high-end devices Galaxy (which may not bear the name Exynos), which should be launched in 2025.
