Samsung presented its flagship Ačko for 2023, which directly follows the model Galaxy A53 5G and also replaces it. The company will officially stop selling the previous series by the end of the month. So which model is worth buying for you in terms of equipment and price?
There is no need to hide that it is Galaxy A54 5G better in every way. The main decisive element here may be the price, when it is true that the most equipped Samsung novelty is not the cheapest, but it pushes the boundaries of the A series models closer to the eSkas. Galaxy The A54 5G is a really great smartphone with few compromises.

Smaller display
If we start with the main one, the display has shrunk here, but only by 0,1", which you may not even notice with your eyes. As a result, we also have smaller dimensions, but on the contrary, the thickness has increased at least and the weight has also increased more. Specifically, the use of glass on the back is clearly responsible for this. The novelty got rid of plastic as well as the entire module and only offers a trio of cameras protruding above the surface of the back. Last year's model measures 159,6 x 74,8 x 8,1 mm and weighs 189 g, while this year's model measures 158,2 x 76,7 x 8,2 and weighs 202 g.

Galaxy The A53 5G has four cameras, which may paradoxically look better on paper and with their specifications than it does this year. Of course, appearances are deceiving, because even though we lost the depth measurement in the form of a 5MPx camera, which was replaced by software, the main, i.e. the most important, lens was improved, even if it has a lower resolution. That's dropped from 64 to 50 MPx, but its pixel size is 1,0 µm instead of 0,8 µm, OIS has a range of 1,5 degrees instead of 0,95 degrees, and there's All-pixel AF. Nothing changes with the macro lens and the ultra-wide angle.

The Exynos 1280 received its successor in the form of the Exynos 1380, which is manufactured with 5nm technology and advances the CPU by 20%, the GPU by 26%. It's not just about the specs, it's also about the price.
The novelty costs CZK 11 as a base, and CZK 999 in the case of the 256GB version. But if you buy it before the end of the month, you will get it Galaxy Buds2 in the price of CZK 2 for free. It clearly follows that it makes no sense to buy last year's version of Samsung's most equipped А and rather go for the current novelty.
